> POR-15 Floor Armor Basic Kit - Floor Coating
Posted by Support - 04-10-07 19:53 - 0 comments

NOW, Seal your floor permanently with all-new Floor-Armor floor Painting kits. from the makers of POR-15

[*]KITS HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO THE JOB YOURSELF.
[*]Better preparation system equals better results ! Competitive products require using either muriatic acid or flooding floors with water for surface preparation. This results in locking in moisture which causes deterioration of the concrete. With Floor Armor™, there is no need to endure the fumes of muriatic acid or flooding the floor. The Floor Armor™ dry system of surface preparation
GUARANTEES results.
[*]Solvent based low voc urethane technology outperforms water-based epoxies . Water-based coatings are not proven for long term protection. Floor Armor™ uses proven POR-15® urethane technology.
[*]Floor ARMOR™ IS engineered to be Resistant to chemicals, abrasion, heat and impact. Epoxy coatings on the other hand are not only very brittle but extremely porous therefore failing much earlier in comparison.
[*]No hot tire pEEL ups ! Some epoxy floor kits come with plastic tire “pads” because of poor heat resistance. Not Floor Armor ™ !
[*]COLOR CHIPS AVAILABLE TO CREATE your OWN LOOK AND/OR HIDE IMPERFECTIONS ON FLOOR SURFACE . Color chips can also be purchased individually for additional customization. Decorative chips also pull the eye away from the inherent imperfections in concrete floors making a rough surface look new and smooth.
[*]5 FANTASTIC COLORS. Light Gray, Dark Gray, Tan, Beige and White.
[*]OPTIONAL WATER CLEAR & EXTREMELY DURABLE CLEARCOAT. Excellent resistance to chemicals, oil and salts. Also perfectly seals in decorative vinyl chips.
Satisfaction Guaranteed! Guaranteed not to chip, crack or peel.

> Por-15 In Sections
Posted by Peter - 04-21-08 05:05 - 0 comments
Hello,

Question 1
I would like to know what issues there are if I want to do the interior and/or exterior shell of a body in patches/sections? Surfaces above, below or beside another vertical sheetmetal area.... i.e. how does all the preparation steps, on an area just vertically above an area, affect an area thats already been POR15'ed. Gravity says some of everything will get on the previous applied POR15. Can my section joints be smooth and protected? Can the portion I POR15'ed first, after curing, (that will likely get degreaser and Metal Ready on) be the same as those that do not get your chemicals on it?

Question 2
I also need to put door skins on a door frame, I assume I would POR 15 all and assemble. How thick are 8 coats of POR? The fold of the skin edge over the frame has 4 surfaces (X 2 coats)
Should I pre bend the skin at 90 or will POR handle the 180 degree bend over the door frame? Are compression or expansion bends (Inside or outside bends) equally at risk of surface failure? (I will likely bend it 90 for fitment first anyway) I would grind off a little area to tack the skin to the frame in the end.
