Hello, I have a 70' Plymouth Duster 340 that I am restoring & wondered if POR would be a good choice for the floor pans. I have replaced most of the rusted/rotted pans that I could, but I still have some minor surface rust & such. I like the thought of being able to brush on the product rather than replace pans that have just some pitting/scars, & because its going to be covered by the carpet, looks are not a problem.I plan on using "hushmat" material along with padded carpet on the inside of the car as well. Will this have an effect on the POR material? Im looking for something that will stop the small pitts from getting worse & keep the new/old metel from rusting in the future.... The car is currently in Oklahoma were it will live for the rest of its days, but was rescued from east Tenn. (Lots of salt in the winter....
Is POR-15 right for this type of application? If so what do you reccomend? Thanks in advance, bigmac. |
