I WAS CURIOUS IS THAT DONE CORRECTLY AND WHAT CAN I DO IF I WANT TO ADD bASECOAT/CLEARCOAT CAR PAINT OVER IT? rolleyes.gif

First of all the using an air blower will cause most surfaces to rust " immediaty" if there is moisture in the lines and your in reality just spraying very humid air on the clean surface. But the POR-15 will take care of it anyway. In fact we soak new frames just sandblasted for 36 hours in with water to GET a slight rust so the POR-15 will have a tooth to hold on to. SO no problem.

Second, POR-15 requires TWO coats, not one medium coat. The correct way is to apply 2 light coats allowing 4-5 hours between coats. If you have a desire to topcoat you can dust the POR-15 2nd coat with primer while it's still tacky, this will allow the primer to hold onto the POR-15. If the POR-15 has already cured and has a hard smooth finish, you can use our Self Etching Primer as a base for other topcoats. POR-15 Self Etching Primer is formulated to bond to cured POR-15, and some primer can not grab ahold of cured POR-15 due to the harness once cured.

Hope this helps.

Well honestly i really didnt have a choice but to put it on medium, seems like when i tried brushing it on, it would leave streaks uncovered showin some metal and very tedious to brush on for some reason, and getting in the crannies of channeling on the floors was almost impossible without laying some on thick to flow in there and cover the bare metal, What can i do now since i only put on only one medium and somewhat an heavy coat? Seems to be adhereing ok? Should i worry? what can i do? I thought about sanding it down some with 220 grit sand paper and reapplyng another coat! im just curious since its totally cured could I fix this or would i have to sandblast it all back down and start over again?

If your not having any curing or bonding issues don't worry about it. It just cures better with thin coats..
